35 including 10 minors take Deeksha in Ahmedabad embracing monkhood

Ahmedabad: 35 individuals from the Jain community embraced Deeksha (initiation) today, on the fifth day of the 5-day Deeksha Mahotsav near the Sabarmati Riverfront. Among these initiates, 10 are below the age of 18. Notably, Bhaveshbhai Bhandari and his wife, who possess assets worth 500 crore rupees, also embarked on their spiritual journey. Bhaveshbhai received Rajoharan from Deeksha Mananayak, Acharya Yogatilaksureshwarji Maharaja. All 35 Mumukshus were blessed with Rajoharan by Acharya Bhagwant. Each Mumukshu danced with enthusiasm after receiving Rajoharan. Following initiation, the disciples performed Pradakshina, seeking blessings from their Guru Bhagavan, marking the beginning of their spiritual journey.

A special ceremony for the new initiates was held, during which a lock of hair symbolizing worldly attachments was removed by Acharya Bhagavant. All initiates paid their respects to the seer and their families. Ahmedabad Mayor, Pratibha Jain, and Naranpura MLA Jitu Bhagat were also present at the event. Additionally, all initiates offered khamasan to Guru Bhagwant. The Vadi Diksha ceremony for all 35 initiates is scheduled to take place in the city on June 9, 2024, on Jeth Sud Trij.
