Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed a Talati-Mantri in Kamrej in a bribery case involving Rs. 40,000.
According to the details of the case, the ground floor of the plaintiff’s rented property was not mentioned in the property tax bill. The complainant needed the property tax bill to obtain a GST number and electricity connection, therefore, he contacted the accused Bharatbhai Kanubhai Wala, Talati-Mantri of Mankna/Valthan Gram Panchayat in Kamrej. In order to include the necessary details on the bill, the accused demanded Rs. 40,000 as a bribe.
As the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB. Acting on that complaint, the ACB team set up a trap and nabbed the accused red-handed while he was accepting the bribe. DeshGujarat
