Hoax bomb threat on Delhi-Vadodara flight sparks panic at IGI Airport

Delhi: An alarming situation unfolded at the IGI airport in Delhi on Wednesday evening during the boarding of Air India’s Delhi-Vadodara flight, as a crew member found a tissue paper bearing the word “bomb” in the aircraft’s washroom, the police said today. After the tissue was discovered on Wednesday evening, authorities conducted a search of the flight. However, no suspicious items were found, and the aircraft was cleared for takeoff, clarified a police officer.
While the aircraft was ready for takeoff, a crew member noticed the tissue paper at 7 pm. Both the Central Industrial Security Force and the Delhi Police were informed of the situation, and passengers were asked to deplane. Subsequently, a thorough inspection of the aircraft was carried out, yielding no alarming findings. The passengers were later accommodated on another flight for their onward journey. DeshGujarat
