Porbandar: The counting of votes for the Porbandar assembly by-election has been completed through all 18 rounds. BJP candidate Arjun Modhwadia has achieved a shining victory by a margin of over 1.16 lakh votes. Modhwadia has got 1,16,808 votes against his nearest rival candidate of Congress Raju Bhima Odedara who could get 16,355 votes. The by-poll on this seat was necessited due to resignation of Modhwadia as Congress MLA. He then joined BJP and contested the by-poll as BJP candidate. DeshGujarat
