32 kg Charas found off Gujarat coast near Dwarka

Dwarka: In yet another seizure, 30 kilograms of narcotic substances have been found in the Arabian Sea off the Dwarka coast. Packets containing 32 kg of charas, valued at around Rs. 16 crore in the international market, were found floating in the sea early Saturday morning.

Reacting to the news, MoS Home Harsh Sanghavi tweeted, “Gujarat Police is determined to save the lives of youth by catching drugs! On the basis of information received from the beach of Varwala village of Dwarka, Gujarat Police has taken further action to arrest the drug mafia along with 32 kg of hashish in 30 packets worth Rs 16 crore and efforts are on to arrest more drug mafias involved. The work done by Dwarka Police towards creating a drug-free Gujarat is commendable.”

The Dwarka Police and FSL team have initiated an investigation into the case, focusing on the origin of the drugs. Meanwhile, search operations are also underway in nearby areas.
