Filipino woman held from SVPI airport with Rs. 6.50 crore heroin

Ahmedabad:A Filipino citizen woman was apprehended by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at SVPI airport here with Rs. 6.50 crore worth of heroin in her possession.
NCB had prior information about her from NCB Mumbai unit, based on which she was detained in the Immigration area of the international terminal upon her arrival. Upon checking her passport, NCB learned that she had visited India 20 times so far and had brought in Rs. 50 crore worth of heroin to the country in the last two years. A paddler who was to receive the consignment from this woman was staying at a hotel near the airport. Further investigation is ongoing. DeshGujarat
