IMD forecasts light to moderate rain in parts of Gujarat till June 21st

Ahmedabad: The Southwest Monsoon, which made its onset in Gujarat on June 11th, has not moved further from Navsari. However, several places in the state witnessed isolated rain during the last 24 hours. The Indian Meteorological Department, in its latest forecast, has suggested the possibility of light to moderate rain over the next 7 days from June 14th to June 21st.

DAY-1 (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 15/06/2024 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 16/06/2024)

• Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the districts of Saurashtra, expect rain in Surendranagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Botad.

DAY-2 (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 16/06/2024 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 17/06/2024)

• Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the districts of Saurashtra, expect rain in Amreli and Bhavnagar.

DAY-3 (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 17/06/2024 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 18/06/2024)

• Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the districts of Saurashtra, expect rain in Surendranagar and Botad.

• Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the district of Saurashtra, expect rain in Bhavnagar.
