Surat SOG nabs Bangladeshi man with fake Indian documents under Hindu name

Surat: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Surat Police has apprehended a Bangladeshi individual who forged documents under a Hindu name. He illegally crossed the Satkhira border in 2020 to enter India and subsequently obtained a fake Indian passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and school leaving certificate in Nadia, West Bengal.
Rajdipsinh Nakum, DCP of Surat SOG, revealed that the accused, Minar Hemayat Sardar, resided in the Un area of Surat. During the investigation, authorities found his birth certificate, school leaving certificate, and national ID of Bangladesh. They also found a West Bengal school LC, which was used to obtain an Aadhar card, PAN card, and subsequently an Indian passport.
Additionally, the accused utilized the Indian passport for international travel. A residential permit card from Doha was also recovered. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a labourer in Doha. Recently, he was employed as a construction labourer in Surat. Police are investigating how he acquired these documents and his activities in India.
Another Bangladeshi national has been declared wanted, and a specialized police team is actively pursuing his arrest. Authorities are now investigating how many individuals have entered India illegally using similar forged documents. DeshGujarat
