Adulterated ghee-making unit busted in Navsari; palmolein oil was used as main ingredient

Navsari: The state Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA) confiscated suspected adulterated ghee and palmolein oil valued at Rs 14 lakh during a raid on a unit in Navsari.
Teams raided Shiv Food Products in Navsari and found that ghee was being mixed with palmolein oil. Eight samples were taken and have been sent to the laboratory for testing.
In a statement, FDCA said that 3,000 kg of ghee and palmolein oil, totaling Rs 14 lakh, were seized.
The company marketed the ghee under the brand name Sukhwant, and samples were collected in the presence of the unit owner, Vicky Chokhawala. DeshGujarat
