Ahmedabad: A tragic accident occurred in the Vadaj area of the city on Monday evening when the driver of an SUV lost control, resulting in one death and four injuries. The incident happened near Dashama Temple on the road between Vadaj Circle and Sorabji Compound.

The incident was caught on CCTV camera, which showed the SUV with number plate GJ 18 BP 4753 at around 6:30 pm navigating a crowded street, suddenly accelerating and crashing into multiple vehicles, killing one person and injuring three two-wheeler riders, a pedestrian, and a rickshaw passenger.

CCTV footage revealed the car running over a pillion rider before coming to a stop. The SUV was driven by Ramanlal Patel, around 70 years of age, from Manishchandra Society in Thaltej. The victim was identified as Bhogilal Parmar, a 55-year-old mason from Nava Vadaj. The injured include Sarla Parmar, 44, from Shahibaug; Janki Parmar, 40, from Nava Vadaj; and Narmada Avadasiya, 50, from Sola Road. DeshGujarat
