AUDA to build Rs. 120 crore flyover bridge at Shilaj Junction

Ahmedabad: In an attempt to address the traffic issue, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has decided to construct an 834-meter-long six-lane bridge at Shilaj Junction, costing Rs. 120 crores.
The bridge construction will commence soon and is scheduled for completion within two years. It will have a width of 27 meters, with lengths of 131 meters towards the Bopal approach and 239 meters from the Science City approach. Additionally, the retaining wall towards Science City will span 150 meters, while the retaining wall towards Bopal will be 272 meters long. An 11-meter-wide RCC service road will be constructed on both sides of the bridge.
It is estimated that more than 1 lakh motorists using SP Ring Road will benefit from the bridge, as it will provide relief from traffic jams. DeshGujarat
