Lady constable, bootlegger attempt to run over police in Kutch; arrested

Kutch: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) has arrested a female police constable working in the Kutch East CID after allegedly catching her smuggling liquor with bootlegger Yuvraj Sinh Jadeja. Constable Neeta Chaudhary, in an inebriated state, along with the bootlegger, attempted to run over the police team when they tried to catch them.

The incident occurred near Chopdwa Bridge at the Golden Hotel in Bhachau, where police intercepted a Thar vehicle. Inside, the LCB team found Neeta Chaudhary and Yuvraj Sinh Jadeja, a bootlegger from Chirai. The accused attempted to ram the police’s i20 and Fortuner cars, leading the police to fire in self-defense.

Upon searching the vehicle, police found 16 bottles of liquor and two cans of beer. Both individuals have been booked under IPC sections related to attempted murder and the Prohibition Act.

According to the police, they attempted to stop a white Thar jeep heading towards Gandhidham from Samkhiyali. When signaled to halt, the accused instead accelerated towards the police, necessitating measures to stop it. Following the search and recovery of Indian-made English liquor, police registered cases against both suspects without specifying Neeta Chaudhary’s role as a CID Crime woman police officer in their official statement.

Neeta Chaudhary has been embroiled in controversy due to her unconventional lifestyle, including making dance videos in police uniform despite prohibitions, leading to her suspension in the past.

Yuvraj Sinh Jadeja, a notorious bootlegger, already faces 16 prior cases, including serious charges like attempted murder.
