Over 8 inch rain in Junagadh; Holiday in schools on Tuesday

Junagadh: The district administration of Junagadh has declared holiday in all schools across the district on Tuesday, 2nd July due to situation linked to very heavy rains. The district received upto over 8 inches of rainfall today during 6 am to 8 pm period. Willingdon dam was full to its top level and overflowing. Water was released from Sabali, Ozat and Bantwa-Kharo reservoirs to downstream areas. Normal life was very much affected today(Monday) due to heavy rains. The administration has formally declared holiday in schools on Tuesday across the district. Another district that received 8 inches of rain in Saurashtra today in same period was Devbhumi Dwarka where Khambhalia witnessed very high rain. DeshGujarat
