LIVE in VIDEO: Hardik Pandya Road Show in Vadodara Gujarat

Vadodara: The city is celebrating Team India’s victory in the T-20 Cricket World Cup with a special event honoring local hero Hardik Pandya. Hardik, who played a pivotal role in the victory, is being welcomed today with a grand road show and fireworks display.

The organizers intend to recreate the excitement witnessed during the team’s reception in Mumbai. They have organized a memorable welcome for Hardik Pandya and his family. The procession commenced from Mandvi, passes through Lehripura, Sursagar, and Dandiya Bazaar, and culminate at Navlakhi Compound Akota bridge, where a dazzling fireworks show will mark the conclusion of the celebrations. Several Ganesh mandals and Hindu organizations are participating in this event, supported by city BJP chief Vijay Shah and others.

Organizers aim to gather Vadodara’s cricket enthusiasts, along with Pandya’s coach, teachers, neighbors, and relatives. Corporators, MLAs, and former players will also join in celebrating Pandya’s achievement.

The procession includes special arrangements, such as replicating the bus used in Mumbai’s celebrations, and deploying over 50 bouncers and 1500 volunteers for crowd management. Organizers have requested the presence of approximately 700 police staff members to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

The Vadodara Police Commissioner had issued a public notice on Sunday outlining traffic arrangements for a procession.

These traffic regulations are implemented by the Vadodara Police to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize inconvenience to commuters due to the anticipated large turnout. Commuters are advised to consider alternative routes to avoid potential traffic congestion during the event.
