Red alerts in these parts of Gujarat; Very heavy rains likely in Gujarat until July 20

Surat: The monsoon is active over the state of Gujarat, bringing heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. According to the latest forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to continue for the next five days until July 20th. Additionally, several districts have been placed under a red alert for the next 24 hours.
For the next 24 hours, the red alert applies to the districts of Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, as well as Dadara Nagar Haveli. In Saurashtra, the districts of Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Dwarka are also under red alert.
The districts of Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, and Tapi, along with Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu in Saurashtra, have been issued an orange alert due to the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rains.
On July 17th, although no red alert is currently in place, the districts of Panchmahal, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Dwarka will be under an orange alert with the possibility of very heavy rainfall.
On July 18th, an orange alert is in place for the districts of Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Dwarka.
Meanwhile, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Dang, and Tapi in the Gujarat region, as well as Surendranagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Gir Somnath, Botad, Kutch, and Diu in Saurashtra-Kutch.
On July 19th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat, including Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, and Kutch in Saurashtra-Kutch.
On July 20th, heavy rains are very likely in Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu in Saurashtra.
