Surat likely to get Air India Express Chennai – Surat – Bangkok flight later this year

Surat: Air India Express is likely to start booking Chennai-Surat-Bangkok flights from September, with operations expected to begin in October. Surat may get its fourth international flight before Diwali. The flight may operate five days a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The flight will depart from Surat International Airport at 12:00 PM and return at 10:00 PM. This route will cater to the growing demand for travel to Bangkok, adding a new international destination for Surat residents.
Airport sources confirmed the approval of AI Express slots for this new route. However, the flight awaits mandatory DGCA approval. Air India Express sent a proposal for the weekly flight, but there are no instructions from headquarters about booking or operating the flight yet. DeshGujarat
