Gujarat University sees record 6000 foreign student applications from 65 countries

Ahmedabad: Gujarat University has observed a surge in interest from foreign students, with a 500% increase in applications. This year, over 6,000 foreign students from 65 different countries have applied to study at Gujarat University.
According to Vice Chancellor Nirja Gupta, Gujarat University has received a record-breaking 6,000 applications from foreign students this year, with approximately 3,000 confirmed admissions.
Gujarat University typically sees around 300 to 400 foreign student admissions annually. However, this year’s influx has broken previous records, with an anticipated 2500 students expected to enroll.
VC Gupta also noted that most applications this year are from Asian, African, SAARC countries, Bangladesh, Nepal, and notably, Spain. Applications have been received from 65 countries, with major admissions expected from Bangladesh and African nations.
