Gujarat govt orders Premature Retirement of another Class – 1 officer

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today ordered the premature retirement of another Class 1 officer. The State Government, in the public interest, has prematurely retired Pankaj I. Barot, Municipal Chief Officer Class-1 of Petlad Municipality, with immediate effect from July 20, 2024.
Deputy Secretary of the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department, Manish Shah, in a notification stated, “In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 10(4) of the Gujarat Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2002, and in pursuance of the GR dated 29/09/2023 issued by the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat, as well as various instructions issued by the Government from time to time, the State Government, in the public interest, hereby prematurely retires Shri Pankaj I. Barot, Municipal Chief Officer Class-1 of Petlad Municipality, with immediate effect from July 20, 2024. He shall be paid an amount equivalent to three months’ salary and allowances, calculated at the same rate he was drawing immediately before the issuance of this notification.” DeshGujarat
