Over 14k people shifted, 1600 rescued in Gujarat amid heavy rains

Ahmedabad: As heavy rains continue to batter Gujarat, relief and rescue efforts have been initiated by the administration. According to the latest data as of 4 pm today, over 14,000 people have been shifted to safer locations, and more than 1,600 have been rescued.

Surat district remains the worst affected, with over 3,700 people shifted and 353 rescued. Navsari and Vadodara districts have also reported significant numbers of people affected.

The state government has deployed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and other agencies to carry out rescue and relief operations. Medical teams and relief supplies are being rushed to the affected areas.
