Ahmedabad: Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) is developing a City Side Development Project in Hansol, Sardarnagar, in Ahmedabad. The project will cover a site area of 15.16 acres (61,349.83 m²) and is set to feature a mixed-use development with a total built-up area of 2,43,590 m². Sardar Vallabhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport is adjacent to the project site in the southeast direction.

The City Side Development Project will include various amenities, such as retail space comprising a multiplex, entertainment facilities, virtual reality experiences, and food and beverage outlets; a business center (convention center and flexi office); a performance arts center; a hotel; and associated connectivity, utilities, and facilities.

This City Side Development Project is located in the village of Hansol, in the Sardarnagar area of Ahmedabad district. Out of the total plot area of 61,349.83 m², the total built-up area will be 2,43,590 m². Once completed, the project is expected to accommodate an estimated population of 25,909 (including staff, visitors, and guests). In 2022, the estimated cost of the project was Rs. 1,052.7 crore. A total of 12 rainwater harvesting pits are also proposed for artificial groundwater recharge.

As per the site plan, the four-star and three-star hotels will have a basement plus five floors, while the retail, food and beverage, entertainment, multiplex, and performing arts buildings will have a basement plus three floors. Similarly, the convention center and office building will also have a basement plus three floors. The project will have four buildings with an overall six entry points and seven exit points.

According to the company’s  presentation, the project will have a total water requirement of 1,115 KLD and a fresh water requirement of 358 KLD (sourced from State Government Water Supply/bore wells). Around 950 KLD of wastewater will be generated at this site, which will be treated in a STP of 1,140 KLD. DeshGujarat
