Ahmedabad: The city civic body today sealed the kitchen of the Hyatt Hotel located next to the Nexus Ahmedabad One mall in the Vastrapur area of the city after an insect was found in a dish served at the hotel.

During an event held at the banquet hall of the Hyatt, an attendee found an insect in the sambhar served at the buffet. Following this, a complaint was filed with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Acting on the complaint, the health department team of the city civic body has sealed the kitchen of the five-star hotel for the next 48 hours. The AMC team has also issued a notice to the hotel’s pest control officer, stating that punitive action will be taken if the kitchen is opened without AMC orders.
