Aircraft grounded at Surat airport after suffering tail strike at Bhuj Airport

Surat: A six-seater aircraft of renewable energy firm owner suffered tail strike during takeoff on 3rd August at Bhuj airport. The aircraft is grounded at Surat airport. The plane was taking off at Bhuj airport on 3rd August when its tail collided with the airport runway in Bhuj. A pilot didn’t realize about this and landed safely at Surat airport. When the plane landed at Surat airport, some parts of the tail portion were found on the runway. They were handed over to the pilot by the airport staff. The plane is grounded since then. The details of this case were conveyed to the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The plane will be able to take off only after its tail is repaired and an airworthiness certificate is obtained from DGCA. The plane is 3 years old, VT. BJP Diamond/DA-62. DeshGujarat
