Ahmedabad: Paldi Police booked a film maker for dangorously closing of an over bridge in Dharnidhar area for film shoot. A complaint is filed today by a 25-year old lady Doctor Priya Thakkar, resident of Nehrunagar area, who was passing through the road where shooting was going on on August 4.
According to complaint Priya works as a doctor in AMC run SVP hospital and her service timing is from 9 am to 5 pm. On August 4 she was on her two-wheeler passing through the Dharnidhar cross roads and as she approached the flyover bridge, she found that a thread was tied blocking the road. There was no barricade or reflector or any signage to caution the commuters there about this closure. Priya bumped across the thread tied to block the road and suffered injury on her throat. She fell down from her Honda Actica two-wheeler on the road. She was bleeding due to injury. She called her friend about the same.
The people gathered there informed her that film shoot was going on one side of the bridge and therefore it was closed by tying a thread. Priya was taken to SVP hospital by her friends later and she had 8 stiches on head in addition to throat injury. After she was relieved from the hospital, Priya gathered details that the said film shoot was going on from Storytell Films and its Executive Produce Shashwat Shah, resident of Naranpura had sought permission for shoot and he had closed one side of the over bridge without any barricade, signage, reflector or placing some staffer there to inform the commuters. A thread was tied to stop the commuters in a fashion that it would create danger for commuters. Priya has filed complaint against Shashwat Shah in Paldi police station. Police have booked Shah under BNS sections 285 and 125A. DeshGujarat
