Fire erupts at Bank of India in Jamalpur

Ahmedabad: A fire broke out at the Bank of India in the Jamalpur area of the city this afternoon after a short circuit occurred in the air conditioning unit on the first floor of the bank.
According to reports, around 12:30 PM, the Ahmedabad Fire Brigade control room received a message that a fire had broken out at the Bank of India near Khamasa Char Rasta in the old city. Following that, four vehicles from the Jamalpur Fire Brigade were dispatched to the scene. The bank was filled with smoke due to the fire, causing the people present, including the staff, to evacuate immediately. The fire brigade was able to control the fire using their equipment despite the heavy smoke inside the bank. Senior officers, including Chief Fire Officer Jayesh Khadia and Additional Chief Fire Officer Mithun Mistry, also arrived at the site upon being informed of the incident.
There were around 50 people, including staff, present in the bank when the fire occurred. DeshGujarat
