SMC to launch Vesu – Surat Railway Station city bus route

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation-owned Surat Sitilink Ltd will be starting a new city bus route connecting Surat Railway Station to Vesu.
In an official statement, the SMC stated that, in line with the increasing demand and requirements of passengers, Surat Sitilink Limited, following approval in its 40th Board Meeting held on 07/03/2024, is set to introduce a new route. Starting Friday, 23/08/2024, CT Route No. 146 will commence, providing a direct connection from Surat Railway Station to GAIL Colony in Vesu.
This route will pass through key areas including Sahara Darwaza, Udhana Darwaza, Kharwar Nagar, Sosyo Circle, Anuvrat Dwar, GD Goenka School, and Agarwal Vidya Vihar. The introduction of this route will offer residents in the Vesu area convenient and direct connectivity to Surat Railway Station.
Surat is currently the only city in India where passengers can travel on both City bus and BRTS bus using a single ticket. Presently, approximately 200,000 citizens utilize the public transport service daily across 13 BRTS routes and 45 City bus routes. DeshGujarat
