Gandhinagar: Schools in Vadodara city and district, as well as Ahmedabad city and district, will remain closed on Tuesday, 27 August, according to separate statements released by the district administrations. Additionally, all primary schools across the state will also remain closed.

If the monsoon situation is not improved, the schools will remain shut even for further period.

According to Vadodara district collector’s press statement, all schools including granted primary/secondary and higher secondary schools will remain closed on Tuesday August 27. District Education Officer of Ahmedabad has also announced leave in all schools on Tuesday.

Such announcement is likely in more district or perhaps the entire State in view of the extremely heavy rains forecast. DeshGujarat
