Asarva: Train no. 19703/04 Udaipur City – Asarva – Udaipur City Express will be upgraded to the status of a Superfast Express train from January 1st, 2025. The train that connects Udaipur and Ahmedabad will thereafter run with new numbers, which will be train no. 20987/88 Udaipur City – Asarva Superfast Express.

However, the change in the train’s status will also bring some alterations to its timing, as it currently takes 5 hours and 50 minutes to reach Udaipur from Ahmedabad. Even after becoming a Superfast Express, the travel time will decrease by 20 minutes, reducing the journey from Asarva to Udaipur to 5 hours and 30 minutes, saving passengers 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, on the journey from Udaipur to Asarva, the train currently takes 5 hours and 40 minutes, which will be reduced to 5 hours and 25 minutes, saving travelers 15 minutes.

The electrification work of the Ahmedabad-Udaipur railway line is progressing, but at a slow pace, which is why only diesel locomotives run on this track. DeshGujarat
