Only these few districts likely to get heavy rain till Sept 8; Here’s IMD forecast

Ahmedabad: The rainfall seems to be subsiding in Gujarat, as the Indian Meteorological Department has issued only a yellow warning for the next three days for a few districts in the state. These districts are likely to experience heavy rains; however, the majority of the districts in the state may experience light to moderate rain.

According to the IMD’s latest forecast, as of 8:30 AM on September 6th, heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha in North Gujarat, while Patan, Mehsana, Aravalli, Gandhinagar, Valsad, and the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, as well as Rajkot, Morbi, Bhavnagar, and Kutch may receive heavy rains.

On September 6th, heavy rains are likely only in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Vadodara, and Bharuch, while in the Saurashtra districts, Bhavnagar is also expected to receive heavy rain. Other districts are likely to see light to moderate rain.

On September 7th, heavy rains are likely only in Sabarkantha and Aravalli, whereas on September 8th, a heavy rain warning has only been issued for Dahod and Mahisagar.
