Gujarat’s first Annapurti Grain ATM opens in Bhavnagar; to dispense ration 24/7

Bhavnagar: Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Nimuben Bambhaniya, launched Gujarat’s first grain ATM in Bhavnagar on Tuesday to provide 24/7 access to ration under the Central government’s public distribution system (PDS).
Named Annapurti, the grain ATM is located in the Karchaliyapara area of Bhavnagar city.
Equipped to dispense wheat and rice, the machine has a capacity to store up to 2,500 kg of food grains, as per an official statement.
Individuals covered under the National Food Security Act can access the ATM at any time, use their ration card, verify their identity through fingerprint scanning, and receive their monthly ration quota, according to officials. DeshGujarat
