Gandhinagar: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party today launched its Sakriya Sadasyata Abhiyan (active membership drive) in Gujarat from the state party headquarters ‘Shree Kamalam’ in the state capital, Gandhinagar. Gujarat BJP Chief and Union Jal Shakti Minister launched the membership drive and became the first active member of Gujarat BJP.

Senior party leaders, including State Vice President Govardhan Zadafia, State General Secretary (Org.) Ratnakar, and General Secretary Rajni Patel, were present to formally induct Patil as the active member of BJP. The state party organization aims to recruit 1.5 lakh active members during the drive, which will continue until November.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Modi enrolled as the first active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda. DeshGujarat
