3D light and sound show at Somnath Temple to resume from Oct 25
October 24, 2024
Prabhas Patan: A 3D light and sound show showcasing the glory of Sri Somnath Tirtha is being relaunched after the monsoon break for pilgrims visiting Sri Somnath Mahadev Mandir from the country and around the world.
Devotees will be informed about the history of Shri Somnath Tirtha, including how Lord Somnath came to this land through the penance of Chandradev, how Lord Shri Krishna performed his final leela and went to Nijdham, and how this shrine came to be known as Prabhas. A light and sound show has been created to raise awareness among pilgrims about these stories using modern 3D technology. This show is popular among travelers and is closed every year during the monsoon. However, it will resume before Diwali for the pilgrims.
Following the monsoon season, the light and sound show will commence on October 25 at Shree Somnath Temple. The show will start at 7:45 PM, following the Sayan Aarti. Two shows will be held on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate the influx of visitors, which devotees should keep in mind.
Tickets for the show will be available from 6:00 PM at the digital cashless counter outside the temple premises and from 6:30 PM at the Alayda ticket counter near the Sahitya counter inside the temple premises. DeshGujarat
