Rajkot: The Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) has issued a notice to the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir situated on Kalavad Road in the city regarding more than one electricity connection on the premises owned by the Bochasanvasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sansthan.
The PGVCL, in its notice addressed to Kothari Swami, said, “We inform you that customer number 31807042577 (100 kW) in the temple campus and Nilkanth Varni Abhishek Mandap (Final Plot No. 79), customer number 31807022889 (100 kW) in the Akshar Brahma Complex (Final Plot No. 78), and customer number 31801585501 (95 kW) in Sant Ashram and Pramukh Swami Sabhagriha (Final Plot No. 1074) are using a total of three power connections.
Upon perusal of the documents presented to the office through your letter referenced above, the ownership rights of the said three plots are in the name of Bochasanvasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sansthan. According to Clause No. 4.28 of the Electricity Supply Code, more than one power connection cannot be granted on land with multiple premises. Therefore, it is requested that all three power connections be merged and a single HT power connection be applied for.
Additionally, the hall connecting the premises of Premvati and Kumar Hostel, facing Saharkar Nagar Road, should be permanently closed so that the power boundaries of both premises remain distinct. This is for your information, and we expect your cooperation in taking the necessary action.”
