IAS officer Mona Khandhar appointed as Chairman of Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board

Gandhinagar: IAS officer Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary of the Panchayat, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department in the Gujarat government, has been entrusted with the role of Chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Seva Pasandagi Mandal (Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board), which oversees recruitment for the Panchayat department.

The 1996-batch IAS officer succeeds retired IPS officer Hasmukh Patel, who stepped down voluntarily after being appointed as Chairman of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC).

Hasmukh Patel, a 1993-batch IPS officer and Managing Director of the Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation, had earlier served as Chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board. His resignation was accepted by the Home Department via Notification No: IPS/102024/2257/B, dated November 6, 2024.
