ACB Gujarat nabs Revenue Talati in bribery case in Morbi

Morbi: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a revenue talati in a bribery case in Morbi. The accused, Jaideepsinh Jadeja (35), had been posted as a Revenue Talati, Class 3, Ward No. 3 in Morbi, with the charge of Talati Vajepar/Madhapar.
According to the ACB, the complainant in this case is a lawyer working on revenue-related matters. The complainant had applied to the Taluka Officer of Morbi for a farmer certificate in the name of his client. However, the accused demanded a bribe of ₹4000/- from the complainant in exchange for providing the farmer certificate.
The complainant did not wish to pay the illegal bribe money and contacted the Morbi Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to file a complaint. Based on the complaint, during a sting operation organised with the complainant’s involvement, the accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of ₹4000/-.
