Supply of PDS grains to continue even if E-KYC not completed by Dec 31: Gujarat govt
December 14, 2024
Ahmedabad: In a relief to ration cardholders, the Gujarat government announced that even if E-KYC is not completed by December 31, 2024, beneficiaries will still receive their entitled ration without any reduction or disruption. To avoid confusion and panic, the Supply Department urged ration cardholders not to be misled by rumors.
The government, in a note, stated that all ration cardholders in the state are advised that those who have not completed E-KYC will still receive their entitled ration after December 31, 2024, without any reduction or interruption.
Similarly, the benefits of other government schemes will also continue after December 31, 2024. Therefore, all ration cardholders who still need to complete E-KYC are requested not to be misled by rumors and to avoid unnecessary panic.
As there have been long queues outside designated offices, the government also stated that ration cardholders can complete E-KYC at home through the “MY RATION” mobile app instead of visiting government offices. For E-KYC on the ration card, it is necessary to have updated details, such as the address and mobile number, in the Aadhaar cards of all family members.
