SIT returned Rs 19 crore to ceramic traders in Morbi: Sanghavi

Morbi: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to address alleged white-collar crimes in Morbi’s ceramic industry has facilitated the return of Rs 19 crore to traders after conducting investigations across five states, announced Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, on Wednesday.
The SIT, formed on May 19, 2023, received 103 applications concerning fraud by 408 business units in states including Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The police resolved cases involving trapped funds and cheating, benefitting traders in Morbi.
