Ahmedabad to have Suzuki-AMA Centre for Japanese Management

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), in collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, will launch the Suzuki-AMA Centre for Japanese Management. This center is dedicated to fostering Japanese business culture and management skills in Gujarat.
This new center is the sixth Japan Centre at AMA, following its predecessors, including the Japanese Language Centre, Japan Information & Study Centre, Japanese Zen Garden, KHS Kaizen Academy, and Japan Cultural Centre at AMA. It also holds the distinction of being the 60th activity center of AMA.
The event will also include a welcome reception for a 76-member Japanese goodwill delegation from Shizuoka Prefecture and Hamamatsu City, visiting Gujarat and Ahmedabad. The collaboration aims to deepen cultural and economic ties between the two regions, in line with the vision of making Gujarat the “Mini-Japan of India.”
The delegation is led by the Governor of Shizuoka Prefectural Government, Mr. Yasutomo Suzuki; Head of the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly Delegation on Industrial Development, Mr. Morio Sugiyama; Honourable Mayor of Hamamatsu City, Mr. Yusuke Nakano; Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director and President of Suzuki Motor Corporation; and Mr. Hideaki Domichi, Former Ambassador of Japan to India, Director.
The delegation includes 16 representatives from the Shizuoka Prefectural Government, 12 Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly Members, 15 officials from Hamamatsu City, 28 representatives from business and industry (Officials of Regional Diplomacy & Business Development Divisions, JETRO, and Industrial Promotion Division), 12 leaders from Suzuki Motor Corporation, and 5 representatives from Japanese media and press.
The inauguration will take place at 2:45 PM at the Ahmedabad Management Association premises, located in the ATIRA Complex, on December 24th (tomorrow). DeshGujarat
