Gujarat State GST search and seizure operation at Rajshree Pan Masala & Tobacco trader

Gandhinagar: Based on the information received by the Investigation Branch of the State Goods & Service Tax(GST) Department and the related research, a search and seizure action was taken on December 24, 2024 at a trader involved in the trade of Rajshree Pan Masala & Flavored Tobacco located in Ahmedabad.
According to the State GST press release – ‘During the investigation, some irregularities like unaccounted sales and unaccounted stock through cash transactions were noticed and an estimated tax evasion of Rs. 1.93 crore and a liability of approximately Rs. 3.39 crore came to light.
The State Tax Department has taken appropriate legal action in this case for the protection and recovery of government revenue, said the statement. DeshGujarat
