Surat: BJP MLA from the Choryasi Assembly seat, Sandeep Desai, was honored by Union Jal Shakti Minister and Gujarat BJP Chief C. R. Paatil, along with the party’s National General Secretary Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, at an event at the State Party Headquarters, Shri Kamalam, on Saturday. Desai, with 1.65 lakh members, is believed to have registered the highest number of people in the recent membership drive (Sadasyata Abhiyan).

A first-time MLA, Desai attributed his success to the hard work of the panna pramukh (in charge of a voting list page), the ward president of his constituency, and his team. He also credited his active role in the cooperative sector as a major factor. Desai added, “I have worked diligently for the party, and in 2022, the party placed its trust in me by giving me a ticket. This was my first Assembly election, and I won.” DeshGujarat
