Bus Carrying 50 People Collides with Dumper in Hazira; 1 Dead, 15 Injured

Surat: A private bus carrying around 50 people collided with a dumper and overturned near Hazira. One person lost their life in the accident, while 15 others were injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident occurred this morning when the private bus, belonging to contractor company Neo Structo Construction Private Limited, collided with a dumper. Following the collision, both vehicles overturned. The bus was carrying more than 50 passengers, and as a result of the accident, 15 to 20 people sustained injuries. Eight of the injured were transported to Civil Hospital for treatment via 108 emergency services and private ambulances. The passengers on the bus were contract employees of Neo Structo Construction, traveling to work at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India Limited.
According to reports, the dumper driver, carrying a load of sand and gravel, was speeding to overtake another vehicle when he suddenly noticed two cyclists crossing the road. In an attempt to avoid hitting them, he swerved and crashed into the bus. The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to overturn.
Locals and passersby rushed to the accident site on the main road. Workers from another company bus also arrived to assist, and the injured were quickly taken to Surat Civil Hospital, where one person was declared dead. DeshGujarat
