Congress MLA Vimal Chudasama Loses Municipality Election in Chorwad

Junagadh: The counting of votes is underway for the local body elections held on Sunday, and as the results are coming in, the Congress party has suffered a major setback as the sitting MLA from the Somnath assembly seat, Vimal Chudasama, has lost the municipality election from Chorwad.
The Congress MLA, who contested from Ward No. 3 of Chorwad Municipality, suffered defeat as the panel of the Bhartiya Janta Party won in this ward.
The results for Chorwad Municipality are out, and as per the state election commission, out of a total of 24 seats in 6 wards in Chorwad Municipality, the Bhartiya Janta Party has won 20 seats, while Congress only clenched victory in 4 seats in Ward No. 4. DeshGujarat
