IML Cricket Matches in Vadodara from 28 February to 7 March
February 23, 2025
Vadodara: Cricket enthusiasts in Vadodara will have to spend extra for matches with India as a team. While the cost of tickets for other matches are kept lower, the matches in which India will play have been kept higher. Upcoming International Masters League (IML) matches are going to be played during 28 February to 7 March at Baroda Cricket Association(BCA)’s Kotambi based stadium. The matches featuring the Indian legends will see Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina playing.
BCA has provided the Kotambi-based stadium at a nominal rent for the six-day-night matches scheduled from February 28th to March 7th. However, the ticket pricing strategy for the two India matches has sparked controversy. While tickets for matches featuring other international teams like Australia, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, and West Indies are priced reasonably, the India matches command a premium.
For the India games, fans looking to watch cricketing icons like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina will have to shell out significantly more. Tickets for the West Stand Level-1 are priced at ₹500, South Stand Level-1 at ₹1,500, Corporate Boxes at ₹5,000, and Luxury Boxes at a staggering ₹7,000.
In stark contrast, tickets for the remaining four matches are considerably cheaper, with West Stand Level-2 at ₹100, Level-1 at ₹200, South Stand Level-1 at ₹500, Corporate Boxes at ₹3,000, and Luxury Boxes at ₹5,000.
The IML promises to be a treat for cricket fans, featuring a galaxy of former international stars. Apart from Tendulkar, the lineup includes Brian Lara, Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Jacques Kallis, Jonty Rhodes, Shane Watson, and Shaun Marsh, among others.
The India matches are scheduled for March 1st against South Africa and March 5th against Australia. DeshGujarat
