ACB Gujarat nabs university clerk in bribery case

Rajkot: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today nabbed Hirenbhai Jagdishbhai Padwani, a contractual clerk at the Saurashtra University Examination Office, for accepting a bribe.
According to the ACB, the complainant, a student, had missed the deadline for filling out the ATKT form for Semester 6. To process the late form, the accused demanded a bribe of ₹5,000 from the complainant. Unwilling to pay, the complainant reported the matter to the ACB. During the trap, the accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe, misusing his official position.
The operation was led by Police Inspector P.A. Dekawadiya under the supervision of K.H. Gohil, In-Charge Assistant Director, ACB, Rajkot Unit. DeshGujarat
