Gujarat govt plans ₹145.15 crore 4-lane road connecting Porbandar Jetty to main road

Gandhinagar: Minister Raghavji Patel stated in the State Assembly that Porbandar Port, managed by the Gujarat Maritime Board, has handled over 94.50 lakh metric tons of cargo in the past five years, generating an income of ₹100 crore.
Replying to a question, Minister Patel added that, considering the increasing cargo transportation load, the 3.18 km road connecting Porbandar Jetty to the main road will be widened and upgraded to a four-lane road.
The state government has proposed a total investment of ₹145.15 crore for this project. This includes various components such as road work, the Marine Police Bridge, Bapa Sitaram Bridge, electrification, land acquisition, green belt development, and tree plantation, the minister added. DehsGujarat
