Rain Water Harvesting at Surat International Airport: AAI invites e-tender

Surat: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited online bids for the “Provision of Rainwater Harvesting at Surat International Airport,” with an estimated cost of ₹1.36 crore (excluding GST) and a completion period of three months. The tendering process is being conducted through the Central Public Procurement (CPP) portal, and interested bidders can submit their applications electronically.
As per the tender document, the scope of work includes:
- Drilling a 300 mm diameter bore well to the required depth as per site conditions.
- Providing, supplying, and fixing a 160 mm diameter, 6 kg/cm² PVC pipe in the borehole.
- Supplying and filling clean, sorted pea gravel (6 mm to 10 mm) in the filter chamber.
- Supplying and fixing a cover for the RCC chamber over an MS frame structure.
- Cleaning the bore well using an air compressor.
The deadline for bid submission is April 2, 2025, with the technical bid opening scheduled for April 3, 2025. Eligible contractors must meet specified financial and technical qualifications, including prior experience in similar water harvesting projects. An EMD of ₹4,09,734 is required, payable online via the CPP portal. Upon acceptance of a bid, the EMD will be adjusted as part of the security deposit. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, subject to AAI’s evaluation criteria. DeshGujarat
