Ahmedabad Police Transfers 28 Inspectors

Ahmedabad: City Police Commissioner G.S. Malik has ordered the internal transfer of 28 Police Inspectors (PIs) across the city, along with the posting of four others. The sudden reshuffle has created a stir within the city’s police force. Speculation about PI transfers had been ongoing for months, and with this decision, 28 police stations in Ahmedabad will now have new inspectors.

The decision follows increasing concerns over law and order, particularly after reports of rising criminal activities in Vastral. As part of the reshuffle, Ramol PI S.B. Chaudhary has been removed from his post and transferred to the police control room, while the Bapunagar PI has been moved to the Special Operations Group (SOG). As cybercrime cases continue to rise in Ahmedabad, the department has been reinforced with six PIs. DeshGujarat
