Banaskantha: After the incident in Bagasara, Amreli, a similar case has emerged in a government school in Deesa, where around 10-12 students of classes 6th to 8th inflicted cuts on their hands using blades.
Blade marks were found on students’ hands at Rajpur Primary School in Deesa. Following this, a family from the school reported the matter to the district education department. Acting on the instructions of the District Education Officer, officials visited the school and launched an investigation. The affected children were also counseled at the school in the presence of the child protection officer. It is learned that teachers allegedly tried to suppress the matter.
The Taluka Primary Education Officer (TPEO) stated that the students inflicted the cuts as part of a dare challenge. Authorities have urged parents to keep children away from mobile phones, discourage gaming, and prevent them from engaging in violent activities. DeshGujarat
