ACB Gujarat books former Assistant Planner of RMC in Disproportionate Assets case

Rajkot: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has booked Ajay Mansukhbhai Vegad, then Assistant Town Planner in the Town Planning Unit of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), in a bribery case. Vegad is presently the Deputy Superintendent Engineer (Civil Branch). He is a Class-2 officer of RMC.
Upon analysis, the ACB found Rs. 75.21 lakh in disproportionate assets, which is 38.76 percent more than his income. It was found that Vegad and his family members deposited Rs. 65.95 lakh in cash into various bank accounts between 2014 and 2024.
