4 fake doctors from West Bengal nabbed for running illegal clinics in Surat
April 18, 2025
Surat: In a major crackdown, Pandesara police have arrested four fake doctors operating clinics in the area without a medical degree or license. Among the accused, two are repeat offenders and brothers who were previously held in 2024 for the same crime but had resumed practice despite their earlier arrest.
During a surprise inspection, police apprehended Ajay Vishwas (Baba Saheb Ambedkar Clinic), Parimal Sarkar (Maa Clinic), Parth Devnath (Prince Clinic), and Siddharth Devnath (SK Devnath Clinic)—all originally from West Bengal. The accused had been operating clinics out of rented shops without valid medical credentials. Police seized medicines, injections, syrups, and other medical supplies worth ₹12,000.
Investigations revealed that Ajay, a 12th-pass compounder, and Parimal, a 10th-pass medical store worker, used their limited experience to pose as doctors. Similarly, the Devnath brothers, both 12th-pass, learned basic procedures while working in clinics and began practicing illegally, putting people’s health at risk.
All four are currently in police custody as further investigations continue. DeshGujarat
