Gujarat won’t become theirs by coming here for 2 days: Patil takes a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s visit

Surat: Gujarat BJP chief and Union Minister CR Patil slammed the main opposition party, Congress, and its leader Rahul Gandhi after his recent visit aimed at the revival of the party in Gujarat.

Patil today inaugurated two flyovers, Gabheni and Budiya Junction, on the Haxiara-Palsana stretch of National Highway 53. After the inauguration ceremony held at Ramjivadi in the Sachin area, Patil addressed the media and said, “Gujarat is such a state that everyone is attracted toward it, but the aim with which the person is coming is not going to be achieved, that I can assure you. When their party workers do not trust their leadership, the hardworking people of Gujarat will never like such leadership, and that is why Gujarat is safe under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gujarat is going to be 100% developed and move ahead to become stronger under PM Modi. The people of Gujarat know that. So if someone thinks that by coming here for two days, Gujarat will become theirs, such a imaginataion will not be realized.”

Patil did not take the name of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, but it was clear that he was referring to him, as he visited Gujarat earlier this week. DeshGujarat
